Charlene “Meanie” Whitworth

June 8, 1945 – December 31, 2025

Charlene “Meanie” Whitworth, 80, Noblesville, passed away on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, at her home. She was born on June 8, 1945, to Leonard and Mildred (Cooper) Ewing in Pennington Gap, Va.

Charlene worked in the cafeteria for Hamilton Heights Schools and was a caregiver to her mom and beloved stepfather, Clarence “Joe” Wilson. She married Carl on June 16, 1964. Charlene enjoyed going bowling, playing Bingo, watching NASCAR, cheering for Jeff Gordon, and attending the Brickyard 400 every summer. She loved all her nieces, nephews, and dogs. Charlene loved going out to eat, especially to Texas Roadhouse and Lincoln Square. She has loved many dogs over the years: Charmin, Koali, Big Baby, Little Baby, Angel, Ella, Missy, and Sissy.

She is survived by her sister, Jeanette (Jim) Lacey; brother, Herman Ewing; sister-in-law, Patty Cooper; eight beloved nieces and nephews; and several great-nieces, great-nephews, and other family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Edward Whitworth; brother, Donald Cooper; an infant brother; and her infant child.

Services will be held at noon on Wednesday, January 7, 2026, at Randall & Roberts Funeral Home, 1150 Logan St., Noblesville. Visitation will be from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the funeral home. Burial will be at Carey Cemetery in Noblesville.
