Folks seemed to have a great time last month at the Center for the Performing Arts’ annual gala fundraiser, which is no surprise considering the entertainment lineup led by Straight No Chaser and Michael Feinstein, the cocktails, the dinner, the auction, the after-parties, etc.

But the key takeaway from the Center Celebration 2022 presented by Krieg DeVault is that the Center’s friends and partners joined together Sept. 16 to raise nearly $700,000.

For what, you ask? To explain that part, here is a video about some of the education and outreach programs the Center provides for the community. Watch to learn more about ongoing initiatives and some new ventures, including:

  • The Prism Project, a performing arts summer camp for children and young adults with disabilities
  • A revamped complimentary ticket program to make arts and educational experiences more accessible to students and underserved groups
  • The Transportation Grant Fund, which will help school groups defray the cost of bringing students to the Center for events. The fund was launched this fall with a lead gift from local developer and Center board member Justin Moffett and his wife, Jennifer.

If you’d like to support this important work, you can make a tax-deductible gift to the Center’s Education Fund.
