The Carmel Symphony Orchestra (CSO) invites you to celebrate the 250th Anniversary of our country. Enjoy classic patriotic tunes leading to the best fireworks display in the state of Indiana.
You will be among the first to welcome back David Commanday, who now serves as Music Director, for the CSO. He will be conducting the orchestra for the Fourth of July concert. This is a quintessentially patriotic way to celebrate our country’s anniversary, gathering on the public greens, under the stars with family and friends to hear patriotic classics with a live full symphony orchestra. This experience cannot be duplicated.
A few of the pieces that will be performed include “The Star-Spangled Banner,” patriotic George Gershwin and Duke Ellington tunes, Star Wars Suite and “Hymn to the Fallen” by John Williams, and “God Bless America.” The concert’s grand finale will be “The Stars and Stripes Forever” by John Phillip Sousa.
The CSO Concert will be immediately followed by the state’s largest fireworks display at 9:45 p.m. as the epic end to the two-day CarmelFest celebration.
