From the holiday lights on the Central Green to family favorite Santa’s Mailbox, Fishers Parks & Recreation promises to help you and your family create lasting memories and traditions this holiday season.
Winter Wonderland
The Nickel Plate District comes to life at Fishers’ Winter Wonderland from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 30 on the Central Green. Celebrate the start of the holiday season with the holiday lights display, and step into the Winter Wonderland featuring an ice carving demonstration, live music by Dave and Rae and live reindeer. Complimentary refreshments will be available to the first 100 people courtesy of 5280 Bistro (they will also offer food purchases throughout the event). This special night will conclude with an appearance by Santa Claus himself.
Santa’s Mailbox
Fishers Parks & Recreation’s popular Santa’s Mailbox returns on Nov. 13 and runs through Dec. 11 to deliver holiday magic straight to your mailbox. Children in fourth grade and under can drop off their letters to Santa in our special mailboxes inside City Hall and at the Fishers Parks & Recreation office to be sure they arrive safely to the North Pole. Include a self-addressed, stamped envelope with your letter and you’ll receive a reply in the mail from good old St. Nick.
Pictures with Santa
Kids of all ages can share their Christmas list during the free Pictures with Santa from 6 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 6 and Thursday, Dec. 7 at City Hall. Each family is provided one free printed photo with Santa (includes a photo frame). A Sensory Friendly Hour will also be offered from 5 to 6 p.m. on Wednesday for children with special needs.
