Celebrate last blast of summer in Fishers with free community events for all ages

Enjoy a beach day, a half marathon, concerts, farmers market fun & more

Fishers is ending the summer with a series of community events, live music, and outdoor activities. The lineup includes everything from the Geist Waterfront Park to the Geist Half Marathon and the Fishers Blues Fest.

Ticketed Summer Concert Series

The Nickel Plate District Amphitheater (6 Municipal Drive) will host several ticketed concerts. The lineup includes a variety of genres, from country to funk to indie rock. Tickets can be purchased at NPDAMP.com. The schedule is:

  • Band of Horses: Aug. 5
  • Here Come the Mummies: Aug. 9
  • Grace Potter: Sept. 5
  • Ole 60: Sept. 13

Fishers Arts Council Second Friday Gallery Hop

Downtown Fishers will host a free gallery hop on Aug. 8 from 5 to 9 p.m. Attendees can visit galleries at locations including the Art Gallery at City Hall, Fishers Art Center, Ignite Studio at Hamilton East Public Library, High Frequency Arts, Meyer Najem, FAC Hub Gallery, and Four Day Ray. 13th Fishers Blues Fest

The annual Fishers Blues Fest will take place on Saturday, Aug. 30, and Saturday, Aug. 31, from 5 to 10 p.m. at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The free two-night event will feature performances by local and national blues artists. Details are available at NPDAMP.com/BluesFest.

Fishers Farmers Market

The Fishers Farmers Market, presented by IU Health, runs on Saturdays through Sept. 27 from 8 a.m. to noon at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. The market features more than 90 local vendors selling produce, baked goods, and other items. Special theme days include:

  • Aug. 16: Thift-a-thon
  • Aug. 23: Sustainability Day
  • Aug. 30: Day of Service

Safety Day at the Fishers Farmers Market

The Fishers Fire Department will host Safety Day at the Fishers Farmers Market on Saturday, Sept. 6, from 8 a.m. to noon. The free event at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater will feature live entertainment, safety demonstrations, and a chance to meet Fishers’ first responders. Geist Half Race Series

The 17th annual Geist Half Marathon, 10K, and 5K is set for Saturday, Sept. 13, at 7:30 a.m. The race is described as family-friendly and will include an all-you-can-eat pancake breakfast. All participants will receive a race shirt, a medal, and a drink ticket for the post-race party. Registration and volunteer sign-ups are available at GeistHalf.com.

Glow in the Park

Glow in the Park will be held at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater. An age 21-and-older night is scheduled for Friday, Sept. 26 from 8 to 10 p.m. A family-friendly night for all ages will take place on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 7 to 9 p.m. The event will feature live DJs, dancing, and neon splash zones. City Recycling Day

The City of Fishers will host a free City Recycling Day on Saturday, Sept. 27, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m. at Billericay Park (12690 Promise Road). Residents can recycle electronics, household metal items, and hazardous waste. A full list of acceptable items is available at FishersIN.gov/Recycling.

Fishers Police Open House

The Fishers Police Department will host a free open house on Tuesday, Sept. 30, from 5 to 7 p.m. at 4 Municipal Drive. The event is an opportunity for the public to meet officers and learn about their specialty units. For more information, visit Police.FishersIN.gov.

Fishers Art Center Fall 2025 Classes

The Fishers Art Center offers a variety of art classes, camps, and workshops for all ages. Both beginners and experienced artists can find something to suit their skill level. Available options include three-day workshops, as well as classes lasting four, seven, and 15 weeks. Sign up for a class at FishersArtCenter.org.

Fishers’ new recreational amenities

The City of Fishers has expanded its “Culture of Health” initiative with several new recreational amenities. These additions are designed to help residents stay active and connect with the community. Fishers AgriPark

The 33-acre Fishers AgriPark, located at 11171 Florida Road, is open year-round and now includes a new multipurpose barn with indoor restrooms and programming space. Visitors can also enjoy a new playground, U-Pick gardens, and animal encounters. The park is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and from noon to 4 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays. Geist Waterfront Park

The 70-acre Geist Waterfront Park at 10811 Olio Road features a beach, water access to Geist Reservoir, a non-motorized boat launch, walking trails, and a playground. Regular beach hours are 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. through Aug. 11. From Aug. 12 to Sept. 1, the hours will be 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturdays and Sundays, and 4 to 7 p.m. Monday through Friday.
