Celebrate last blast of summer in Fishers with free community events for all ages

Enjoy beach days, outdoor adventures, farmers market fun & more

As the summer season draws to a close, Fishers is bustling with exciting events and activities where residents and visitors can make memories and enjoy late summer traditions around the city.

Find the season’s freshest picks at the award-winning Fishers Farmers Market, cool off with extended swim hours at the Geist Waterfront Park, get creative with the Fishers Arts Center’s fall classes, and enjoy a concert under the stars at the Nickel Plate District Amphitheater.

Geist Waterfront Park Extended Swim Hours
Park open daily, dawn to dusk
Extended Swim Hours: Daily through September, 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. (through Aug. 12)

The 70-acre waterfront park in east Fishers features beach and water access to Geist Reservoir, non-motorized boat launch and dock access for kayaks and canoes, walking trails, playground, and public gathering amenities.

Park access is open to all during non-peak hours. During peak hours (generally weekend afternoons), admission is free for Fishers residents and $25 per vehicle for non-residents. It’s now easier than ever for residents to access the park – just show your government-issued ID at the entrance – no Smart Pass is needed. Learn more at FishersParks.com/GeistWaterfront.

Fishers Art Center Fall 2024 Classes

The Fishers Art Center, located in the Fishers Municipal Center at 1 Municipal Drive, offers art classes and programs for all ages, engaging summer camps, unique gallery exhibitions, and more. 12th annual Fishers Blues Fest

This annual tradition returns Sept. 14 with a walker-friendly course complete with live music, community support, and an all-ages after party. City Recycling Day

Glow in the Park

Geist Greenway

Explore the Geist Greenway, now open from 104th Street to Geist Park (10979 Florida Road) and from Geist Park to 126th Street. Once completed, the five-mile pedestrian path will stretch from 96th Street to 131st Street. With the addition of this trail, Fishers’ extensive trail system grows to 131 miles and increases connectivity and recreational opportunities for pedestrians and bicyclists in eastern Fishers.
