Carmel girls golf standout Claire Swathwood will soon be walking in Memphis.
The senior-to-be announced Thursday on Twitter that she has committed to play Division I golf at the University of Memphis. Swathwood has been an integral part of the Greyhounds team for the past three years, helping Carmel to a state championship in 2022. She also won the individual regional at Battle Ground Golf Course in Lafayette a week prior to state.
Swathwood said on Twitter that it “has always been a goal of mine” to play at the Division I level, and “I can’t wait to fulfill that” as a member of the Tigers team.
