Carmel High School announced that Rick Risinger has been hired as the new head girls basketball coach for the Greyhounds.
Risinger is one of the most decorated girls basketball coaches in Indiana history. He was the head coach of Heritage Christian for 15 seasons, from 2005-2020, and the Eagles had an incredible run of success during that time.
Heritage Christian won seven state championships, starting with four in a row between 2006 and 2009. The Eagles then added three more state titles between 2014 and 2016. During Risinger’s run, Heritage won a total of 11 sectionals and nine regional titles. Risinger’s record at Heritage was 330-75.
