The City of Carmel will celebrate the second anniversary of the Midtown Plaza opening on from 5 to 8 p.m. on Friday, May 21 and from noon to 3 p.m. on Saturday, May 22. The celebration events will include the following:
Friday, May 21
- 5 p.m. – Remarks by Mayor Jim Brainard
- 5:20 to 8 p.m. – Music by Marielle Sellars
- 5:30 to 7 p.m. – Carmel Fire Department fire truck display and information booth with giveaway
Saturday, May 22
- Noon to 12:30 p.m. – Carmel Fire Department tiller truck in Midtown
- 12:30 p.m. to 3 p.m. – Carmel Fire Department fire truck display and information booth with giveaways
- 1 to 1:30 p.m. – Scavenger Hunt 1 (prizes while supplies last)
- 2 to 2:30 p.m. – Scavenger Hunt 2 (prizes while supplies last)
- 2:30 p.m. – Ping-pong demonstration
In addition to the weekend events, social media contests are being held on the Midtown Facebook page including daily trivia and a selfie station contest with prizes from Sun King, Fork + Ale House, Java House and Penn and Beech Candle Co.
