Carmel PorchFest returns Sunday, Sept. 20

Carmel PorchFest returns to the Carmel Arts & Design District on Sunday, Sept. 20, from noon to 6 p.m.

Carmel PorchFest is a free, family-friendly music festival that turns porches into stages and sidewalks into front-row seats. Wander the Arts & Design District and enjoy live performances from 70 bands across a variety of genres. In addition to the music, you will find food and beverage vendors, community booths and plenty of space to enjoy the festival. Feel free to bring your own chairs, explore the neighborhood, and enjoy a full day of music, food, and fun.

Highlights

• Live music: Carmel PorchFest is all about the music. This year, 70 bands will transform 23 porches into one big neighborhood stage, filling the Carmel Arts & Design District with sounds ranging from rock, blues, country, and jazz to classical ensembles, horns, and more. With 25 new bands joining returning favorites, this year’s lineup promises to keep the district rocking all day long.
• Food and beverages: 15 local food and beverage vendors create the perfect festival vibe. View the Vendor Map to find your favorite vendor’s location.
• Festival App: The app includes an interactive map, band and vendor information, FAQs, and the full event schedule, making it easy for guests to find performance times and locations throughout the festival.

Road closures & parking

To ensure pedestrian safety, several streets in the residential neighborhood north of Main Street (between Range Line Road and the Monon Greenway) will be closed to vehicular traffic from 8 a.m. to approximately 7 p.m. Click here to see the road closure map.

Street parking is available along Range Line Road. A surface lot with free parking is available at the corner of Elm Street and Veterans Way (enter from Veterans Way). Free public parking is available in several nearby parking garages:

• Sophia Square Garage, 110 W. Main St.
• Midtown North Garage, Allied Solutions, 145 W. Elm St.
• Midtown South Garage, 580 Veterans Way
• Midtown West Garage, Railyard, 350 Monon Blvd.

There will be plenty of bike parking located at both main entrances to the event and Carmel PorchFest is conveniently located next to the Monon Greenway.
