A tree at Carmel City Hall was dedicated in honor of Mayor Jim Brainard last week to celebrate his environmental legacy. The Carmel Green Initiative selected the bur oak tree as a living tribute to the mayor’s status as a great climate leader. As this tree grows, it will provide inspiration for the city’s ongoing journey towards sustainability and resilience. A special thanks to Carmel Green Initiative President and Co-founder Leslie Webb and City of Carmel employees Daren Mindham and Alexia Lopez who coordinated the selection and planting of the tree.
