Carmel PD gets upgrade without tax dollars

The Carmel Police Department (CPD) recently purchased tools to equip 16 patrol supervisors with breaching kits. These kits are tools that officers can use to break down doors/barriers during a critical incident that requires an immediate response.

CPD officers are trained to respond immediately and directly to a threat during a critical incident. The tools contained in the breaching kits will play a vital role in the ability of officers to enter a secure building during such critical incident.

The purchase of these breaching kits was made possible by a generous donation from The Cohen Family Foundation, Inc. Their donation made it possible for CPD to purchase this important, life-saving equipment at no cost to Carmel citizens.

CPD thanks the Cohen Family Foundation, Inc. for its generous donation, which enables police to better serve and protect the Carmel community.
