The Carmel Clay Public Library’s Joyce Winner West Branch will reopen to the public on Monday, Jan. 5. The branch library has been closed since August for improvements to the front facade, windows, and heating and cooling systems. A holds pickup locker has also been installed outside the branch to allow for 24-hour pickup of books and other items.

Beginning Monday, Jan. 5, library patrons will also be able to:

  • Return items at the West Branch’s indoor and outdoor return slots (including items checked out from the Main Library)
  • Select the West Branch or the new holds pickup locker as their hold pickup location
  • Reserve the West Branch study room

Because of delays in building materials needed to fully complete the project, the library plans to close the branch again for approximately two weeks beginning on or around the last week of February. During that time, patrons will still be able to use the outdoor returns slots and the holds pickup locker.

Updates about the project are available at carmelclaylibrary.org/west.
