Carmel homeowner robbed at gunpoint

At approximately 1:30 a.m. on Oct. 21, a robbery occurred in the 3700 block of Gould Drive in the Williamson Run subdivision.

The victim arrived home and was approached by the suspect. The suspect asked for assistance with his car. As the victim was looking for some items to help the suspect, he heard what he believed to be a gunshot. The victim turned to see the suspect holding a handgun. The suspect demanded the victim’s valuables. The victim complied and the suspect ran to a vehicle and sped away. A fired shell casing was located at the scene.

The victim described the suspect as a black male, 19 to 20 years old, wearing a dark sweatshirt, dark winter cap, a mask and jeans. The suspect vehicle is described as a small SUV or crossover type vehicle.

The Carmel Police Department asks for residents in the area to review any video that may have been captured between 12 a.m. and 2 a.m. on Oct. 21. If any suspicious people or vehicles are seen on video, please contact Detective Greg Loveall at (317) 571-2537 or at gloveall@carmel.in.gov.
