The Carmel girls soccer team won an all-county game Monday over Westfield 5-1.
Emily Roper scored the Greyhounds’ first goal, with Sophie Shepherd making the assist. Roper then scored again, this time assisted by Lauren Bailey, then Greta Heyl found the back of the net on another Shepherd assist, to make the score 3-0 at halftime.
Luci Bair scored Carmel’s fourth goal, putting a pass by Roper into the top of the net. Roper got the Greyhounds’ fifth goal on a pass by Kathryn Hartung.
Westfield stats were unavailable.
The Greyhounds finished their regular season 12-2-2. The Shamrocks are 6-4-5 and play tonight at Avon in their Hoosier Crossroads Conference and regular-season finale.
Hamilton Heights’ girls team beat Greenfield-Central 6-1 on Friday to win its Senior Night game.
The Huskies celebrated their 11 seniors: Kyndall Ferguson, Kate Hayes, Emma Hall, Haley Fessell, Mady Hutcherson, Samera Henson, Jayla Logan, McKenna Scoles, Jenn Houser, Keri Townsend, and manager Kaelin Zirkle. Ferguson scored Heights’ first goal in the eighth minute unassisted. Townsend then scored off an assist by Logan, then Ferguson scored again before halftime, with assisting making the assist.
The Cougars got their lone goal in the second half, but Heights put in three more goals. Ferguson scored twice, both times assisted by Townsend, then Logan scored unassisted.
The Huskies are 13-3 and host Pendleton Heights tonight.
Fishers’ boys finished up the regular season with a 5-0 win at Greenfield-Central on Tuesday.
Kyle Clayton scored two goals for the Tigers, followed by one goal each from Noah Reinhart, Keiji Nakamae and Denny Johnson. Reinhart dished out two assists, while Andrew Marslender and Reid Splitter both made one assist. Tyler March delivered his 11th shutout of the season.
Fishers completed the regular season 13-0-2.
The Guerin Catholic boys team cruised past Lafayette Central Catholic 9-0 on Tuesday.
The Golden Eagles are 8-3 and play Thursday at Zionsville.
Hamilton Heights’ boys team finished its regular season by beating Liberty Christian 6-1 on Tuesday.
The Huskies completed regular-season play 7-8-1.
University’s boys team beat the North West Warriors Home School team 3-1 on Tuesday.
The Trailblazers are 11-2-2 and play Thursday at Tri-West.
The Carmel boys team played to a 2-2 tie with Center Grove on Monday.
Junior Davis Dilling and senior Ian Mahoney both scored goals for the Greyhounds, with Cole Fogleman making one assist.
“I am proud of the effort the guys gave tonight,” said Carmel coach Shane Schmidt. Several players got a large amount of playing time, “and they ran with it,” said Schmidt.
The ‘Hounds are 10-3-2 and play at 3A No. 17 Harrison on Wednesday.
Guerin Catholic’s girls played to a 0-0 tie with Center Grove on Monday.
The Golden Eagles are 7-2-4 and host Fishers tonight.
Westfield dropped a 4-2 HCC game to Avon Tuesday.
The Shamrocks completed conference play with a 4-3 record. Westfield is 9-4-2 overall and hosts Kokomo on Thursday.
