The Carmel girls tennis team won the Culver Academies semi-state Saturday, earning another trip to the IHSAA state finals.
The No. 1-ranked Greyhounds beat No. 17 Munster 4-1 to win their record ninth consecutive semi-state title, and 14th overall. No. 1 singles Lauren Lemonds won her match 6-1, 6-0, while No. 3 singles Zoe Woods was victorious 6-0, 6-1.
In doubles, No. 1 Julia Miller and Grace Marchese blitzed through their match 6-0, 6-0. No. 2 doubles Apurva Manas and Cece Katz were 6-3, 6-0 winners.
Carmel will travel to Center Grove this coming Friday for the state quarter-finals, where it will play No. 8 Terre Haute South at 3 p.m.
