Carmel’s girls basketball team dropped an away game at Cathedral Tuesday, 45-37.
The Irish went up 8-2 after one quarter and led 22-10 at halftime. The Greyhounds made a comeback in the third quarter, outscoring Cathedral 9-4 and cutting the Irish’s lead to 26-19. Mackenzie Woods scored six points for Carmel. But the Irish held on, outscoring the ‘Hounds 19-18 in the fourth.
Woods and Mallory Bourquein both scored 10 points, with Bourquein also collecting five rebounds.
Carmel is 4-17 and finishes the regular season Friday at Ben Davis.
