Carmel gets its second alcohol-free bottle shop

Loren’s Alcohol-Free Beverages will open a second location

Loren’s Alcohol-Free Beverages has announced it will open its second location on Saturday, May 6 at 12770 W. New Market St., Suite 105, in The Village of WestClay in Carmel. Store hours are still to be determined.

Co-founder Kristin Patrick explained that sales at the first retail space on Main Street at Hazel Dell Parkway have exceeded expectations since opening on Aug. 20, 2022.

“We listen intently to our customers,” Patrick said. “We’ve stocked our shelves based on their feedback and requests. Many communicated a desire for a location on the other side of U.S. 31.”

Patrick’s sister and co-founder Andrea Marley added, “We’ve gained extensive product knowledge in the fields of wine, spirits, craft beers, and adaptogens in the previous eight months. It’s an exciting time to grow. The demand is there.”

The sisters agree that there is no one customer profile, especially as more people reevaluate their relationship with alcohol post-pandemic. Their mission is “to disrupt the narrative that alcohol is essential to celebrate, relax, or network in ventral Indiana.” Inclusion is at the heart of their tagline, “Be A Better Host.” Patrick and Marley say they would like to see more gatherings with beverage options that accommodate all guests, not just ones who drink alcohol.

Loren’s Alcohol-Free Beverages sells alcohol-removed wine, non-alcoholic beer, and zero-proof spirits and mixers. Patrick and Marley named the store after their late father, Loren Marley.
