The Carmel Farmers Market (CFM) is ready to celebrate summer by bringing guests the freshest and best of Indiana’s homegrown food.
The market opens Saturday, May 2 at Carter Green in Carmel. It will take place from 8 to 11:30 a.m. every Saturday (rain or shine) through Sept. 26. Many farm vendors have been with CFM since 1998. CFM now boasts 84 of the finest vendors bringing the best they have to offer. Families will enjoy talking with vendors and tasting delicious food at beautiful Carter Green in the heart of Carmel.
Joining the great vendor lineup are nine vendors who are new to the Carmel Farmers Market, including Café Baby to Go, Dudley’s Toffee, Elevation Produce, Family Roots Salsa, Heritage Homestead Farm, Indiana Whiskey, Moonlight Baking Company, Stuckey Farm Orchard, and Sun to Spoon.
On Opening Day, festivities kick off with free donuts for the first 500 guests as a tradition started by CFM’s first Market Master, Jim Keckley, in the summer of 1999. Four hundred free tree saplings from Carmel Urban Forestry Committee and the Carmel Street Department Urban Forestry Division. Carmel Mayor Sue Finkham will open the market ringing the farm bell at 8 a.m.
