Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation announces Guilded Leaf visiting writers

The Guild of the Carmel Clay Public Library Foundation will celebrate the 20th anniversary of their popular Guilded Leaf Book and Author Luncheon on Thursday, Oct. 17. This year’s event features authors Chad Beguelin, Jeffrey Blount, Rea Frey, Madeline Martin, Dawn Tripp, and Beatriz Williams.

The authors will share insights into their novels and their writing process. Book signings and an online auction will also be part of the luncheon festivities.

The luncheon is part of the Foundation’s signature two-day author event, the primary fundraiser for the organization which provides the funding for all the library’s programs. An evening event the night before the luncheon is already sold out.

“Over 40,000 people attended a library event, took part in a story time, or participated in a library reading program last year,” Foundation Director Elizabeth Hamilton said. “While our guests at the Guilded Leaf luncheon get to enjoy meeting amazing authors, they also can feel good about supporting the kind of educational and entertaining experiences that only the library can provide.”

Individual tickets for the luncheon are $80, and corporate tables are available for $1,200. Tickets may be purchased at carmelclaylibrary.org/guilded-leaf.
