Carmel boys soccer bring back big win over Harrison

The Carmel boys soccer team traveled to Harrison Tuesday and returned home with a 3-0 victory.

Johnny Gourley scored the Class 3A No. 2 Greyhounds’ first goal, then Hayden Warneke added a second goal to give Carmel a 2-0 halftime lead. Warneke scored again in the second half, off an assist by Christian Nielsen.

The ‘Hounds are 13-1-1 and finish the regular season Thursday at Hamilton Southeastern.

Sheridan dropped a 9-0 game at Faith Christian on Monday.

The Blackhawks are 3-7-2 and host MTI School of Knowledge Wednesday for their Senior Night game.

Fishers beat Kokomo 7-0 last Saturday.

Kyle Clayton scored two goals for the Tigers, with Valentino Lapitz, Denny Johnson, Jake Pilkey, Andres Artigas and Grant Scott all scoring one.

Fishers beat Greenfield-Central 6-0 to finish the regular season at 10-2-4.
