What happens when Four Old Broads live at Magnolia Place assisted living and are bored with the day-to-day bingo, basket weaving and macramé? They plan a sassy senior cruise through the Caribbean.

Retired burlesque queen Beatrice Shelton (played by Patricia Dorwin), her best friend Eaddy Mae Clayton (played by Dottie Ostby), newest resident Imogene Fletcher (played by Jan McGill) and soap opera-obsessed Maude Jenkins (played by Jan Jamison) meet to plan their vacation. However, Nurse Pat Jones (played by Kristen Wilson) has other plans for the four, including limiting vacations and controlling medications.

A mystery enfolds when the girls notice many of the residents going to “the dark side” and Imogene begins to have memory loss “spells” after being given a mystery pill. Can the Four Old Broads – with the help of retired Elvis impersonator Sam Smith (played by Kevin Shadel) – solve the mystery? Is Evil Nurse Pat involved? What about her assistant, Ruby Sue (played by Brook-Glen Gober)? Is that even her real name?

Come join the hilarity at Basile Westfield Playhouse, 220 N. Union St., Westfield, one weekend only – August 25, 26, 27, and 28. Curtain goes up at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday, and at 2:30 p.m. for the Sunday matinee.

Reservations can be made by calling (765) 659-1577. All tickets cost $10; pay with cash or check only at the door.
