Boys track and field: Southeastern victorious at HCC meet

Hamilton Southeastern won the Hoosier Crossroads Conference boys track and field meet, which took place Monday at Fishers after being delayed for several days.
The Royals emerged victorious from a battle with Brownsburg and the host Tigers, scoring 123.5 points to claim the trophy. The Bulldogs were the runners-up with 116 points, followed by Fishers with 109 points.
Southeastern won two events. Nolan Satterfield was first in the 1600 run, while Lamine Sall won the long jump with an outstanding best effort of 22 feet, 11 inches. The top four in the long jump all cleared 22 feet.
The Tigers picked up three wins. Keefer Soehngen ran away with the 400 dash, then finished the meet by teaming with Makell Wiggins, Tyler Tarter and Grant Shelton for a victory in the 4×400 relay. Josh Forbes was the winner of the pole vault.
Noblesville scored 46 points to place sixth as a team. Asher Propst won the 3200 run. Westfield was eighth with 25.5 points; Kai Connor was the winner of the 800 run.
Southeastern hosts the Hamilton County boys track and field meet on Thursday.
