The IHSAA boys state swim meet takes place this weekend at the IU Natatorium in downtown Indianapolis.
The meet begins at 6 p.m. Friday with the preliminaries. Those that finish in the top 16 of their event will advance to the state finals Saturday afternoon, with the top eight swimming in the championship heat and positions 9-16 swimming in the consolation heat.
Diving begins at 9 a.m. Saturday with the 32 state-qualifying divers competing in the first round. After five dives, the field is cut to 20, and those divers will advance to the semi-finals and perform three more dives. The top 16 after eight dives move on to the finals.
Swimming and diving finals begin at 1 p.m. Saturday. Carmel enters the meet as the five-time defending team state champion.
