Boys soccer: Guerin wins CCC game

The Guerin Catholic boys soccer team won a Saturday, Aug. 30 Circle City Conference game 4-1 at Brebeuf Jesuit.

Christian Zermeno scored two goals for the Golden Eagles, while AJ McMurtrey and Will Scheu both scored one.

Guerin Catholic dropped a 2-0 game to Cathedral on Tuesday. The Golden Eagles are 5-3 and play another conference game Saturday at Bishop Chatard in a boys-girls doubleheader.

Noblesville dropped its first game of the season Saturday Aug. 30, falling at Louisville St. Xavier 4-2.

The Millers played a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game at Fishers Tuesday, with the contest ending in a 0-0 tie. Noblesville is 1-0-1 in conference play and 4-1-1 overall; the Millers travel to Brownsburg Thursday to continue HCC action.

The Tigers are 5-0-1 for the season. Fishers plays Thursday at Carmel.

The Hamilton Southeastern boys played to a 1-1 HCC tie with Franklin Central Saturday, Aug. 30.

Jose Charris scored the Royals’ goal, with Cooper Perez making the assist.

Southeastern played another HCC game Tuesday, beating Avon 1-0. Stats were not available at press time. The Royals are 1-1-1 in conference play and 4-1-2 overall. Southeastern hosts Harrison Thursday.
