Big Blue Swim School Hamilton Town Center, a locally owned and operated small business, has announced it will waive all swim lesson fees for children of Transportation Security Administration (TSA) agents for the duration of the current partial government shutdown affecting the Department of Homeland Security.
As some federal employees continue to report to work without pay, Big Blue Swim School is stepping in to support the families of those who play a critical role in keeping communities safe.
“We are incredibly grateful for the TSA agents who continue to show up every day to protect travelers and keep us safe, even while facing financial uncertainty,” said Big Blue Swim School Owner Tara England said. “As a local small business, we believe it’s important to do what we can to support these families during this challenging time.”
The initiative will provide free swim lessons to children of TSA agents until the government shutdown is resolved. Big Blue Swim School hopes this effort not only eases some financial burden but also provides a positive, enriching activity for children during an otherwise stressful time for their families.
