Proposals are rolling in for the 2027 New Works arts commissions. Applications are due Friday, Sept. 4, so there’s plenty of time left to submit.
New Works is an initiative by Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts to promote and sustain central Indiana’s working artists and arts communities in an inclusive way by supporting the creation of new performing and visual arts pieces. The selected proposals will be awarded $2,500 each to create and premiere the works during a livestreamed public event.
Performing Arts awards
Commissions will be awarded for projects to be developed and presented onstage in a joint performance at the Tarkington on June 5, 2027. Each winner will receive a $2,500 award, full technical support for the performance, and a professional-quality video of the performance for future use by the artist. Click here to learn more.
