Atlanta man dies in motorcycle/truck crash

On Monday at approximately 4 p.m., Hamilton County Sheriff’s deputies responded to an accident at 276th Street and Devaney Road. The crash involved a vehicle and a motorcycle.

While responding to the scene, deputies were advised that CPR was being performed on the injured party, who was later pronounced deceased by paramedics on scene. The roadway was closed from 4 to 5:52 p.m. for the on-scene investigation.

The initial investigation showed a red Chevrolet Silverado pickup was westbound on 276th Street and turning left onto southbound Devaney Road. This brought the truck into the path of the silver Suzuki motorcycle that was traveling eastbound on 276th St. The vehicles collided in the intersection.

The driver of the motorcycle, Jeremy Chris, 45, Atlanta, died. The ongoing investigation is being led by the Hamilton County Sheriff’s Office Crash Team.
