Aspire Indiana Health awarded for support of military personnel

Aspire Indiana/Aspire Indiana Health has been awarded for its support of military personnel. This marks the second time this year the nonprofit health system has been so recognized.

Aspire received two new awards in June: The Seven Seals Award from the Employer Support of the Guard and Reserve (ESGR) and an Employer Support Freedom Award nomination from the U.S. Department of Defense.

The Seven Seals Award is given to a “person or entity that significantly advances the ESGR mission.” A Freedom Award nomination, one of only 43 in Indiana, is “the U.S. Government’s highest recognition given to employers providing outstanding support to their employees serving in the National Guard and Reserve.”

In February, Aspire was recognized as a “Patriotic Employer” by the ESGR. The nonprofit health provider was nominated by an employee who is currently deployed overseas on active duty.

In addition to employing a number of military veterans and reservists, including its senior leadership, Aspire provides veterans support programs through the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program administered by the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs.
