Dr. Derek Arrowood, Superintendent of Hamilton Heights School Corporation, has been appointed to the Hamilton County Community Foundation (HCCF) Board of Directors. He is one of four new members appointed this year to the 22-person board.
HCCF plays a vital role in strengthening communities across Hamilton County by investing in local nonprofits, supporting youth and education initiatives, and advancing long-term strategies that improve quality of life for residents.
Dr. Arrowood’s selection reflects his deep commitment to public education and his leadership in fostering strong community partnerships. His experience and perspective will support HCCF’s ongoing efforts to expand opportunities for families, students, and organizations throughout the county.
“I’m honored to serve on the Hamilton County Community Foundation Board and to support an organization that does so much to strengthen our communities,” Dr. Arrowood said. “The Foundation’s commitment to expanding opportunities for youth, families, and local nonprofits aligns closely with the work we value in our schools. I look forward to contributing to a team that is deeply invested in improving the quality of life for everyone in Hamilton County.”
