Firm also sponsoring a host of summer reading programs
The Westfield Library Foundation has announced that Apex Benefits, a leading provider of employee benefits consulting and services, will once again sponsor the Westfield Washington Public Library’s Summer Author Series. This year’s exciting lineup of literary events will include discussions, workshops, and presentations by local authors.
“We are incredibly grateful for the generosity of Apex Benefits in sponsoring our Summer Author Series,” Westfield Library Foundation Executive Director Erin Downey said. “Their support enables us to bring engaging and inspiring authors to our library, enriching the cultural and intellectual life of our community.”
The series kicks off on June 11 with Craig Fehrman, who will discuss his latest book, still untitled, that offers a revisionary look at the explorations of Lewis and Clark. Tracy Richardson, author of The Field and Catalyst, will lead a writing workshop on June 13. Aaron Krerowicz, a Beatles scholar and Carmel resident, will discuss the six books he’s written about the legendary band on July 9. The series will wrap up Aug. 6 with an appearance by Westfield resident Matt Hay. Author of Soundtrack of Silence, Hay will recount how he committed his favorite songs to memory when he learned he was going deaf as a teen.
Apex Benefits CEO John Gause expressed his enthusiasm for the partnership.
“At Apex Benefits, we believe in the power of knowledge and the importance of fostering a love for reading and learning,” Gause said. “We are proud to support the Summer Author Series at the Westfield Washington Public Library and provide our community with access to enriching literary experiences.”
In addition to the Summer Author Series, Apex Benefits’ sponsorship will help fund a variety of summer reading programs at the Westfield Washington Public Library. The programs include an interactive dinosaur event, animal shows, science experiments, magic shows, and a foam party.
