We all know the story of the ugly duckling that grows up to be a swan, but no one ever told The Reporter the story of the chicks and ducklings who were raised together. Maybe our photographer was a little dopey from the relentless 100-degree heat index days. Maybe he just likes birds. Either way, when walking past this scene at the Hamilton County 4-H Fairgrounds he said to himself, “Hmm. That’s not something you see every day. I’ll bet our readers would love this!” You tell us if he was wrong.
