Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana recently announced it has made a $50,000 contribution to support Boys & Girls Clubs serving young people across Central Indiana. The donation will help these clubs expand access to critical after-school programs for families facing financial barriers.
“We recognize that access to safe, supportive environments after school plays a vital role in a young person’s overall health and well-being,” said Neil Steffens, President of Government Business for Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield in Indiana. “This investment helps ensure more young people in Central Indiana will benefit from programs that support academic success, healthy lifestyles, and personal growth.”
The funding supports clubs in Marion, Boone, Hamilton, Hancock, Johnson, Morgan, and Shelby counties and is made available to offset membership fees for middle and high school students. All funds will be utilized from now through the end of 2026.
Boys & Girls Clubs provide a wide range of programs focused on education, leadership development, and wellness, offering safe and engaging spaces for young people during critical out-of-school hours.

Through this collaboration, local clubs will be better equipped to reach students who may otherwise be unable to participate due to cost, strengthening communities and supporting families across Central Indiana.
