Anderson Museum of Art’s “Figures of Speech” exhibit to open in August

The Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) is seeking submissions for its annual Figures of Speech exhibition. For the 13th year in a row, AMOA will play host to this exhibition, which utilizes all the classic “Figures of Speech” to develop works of art.

An Artist’s Reception will be held Wednesday, July 17, and the exhibition will open Aug. 22 and remain open through Sept. 29.

This exhibit is focused on utilizing all the classic “Figures of Speech” to develop works of art. Examples include “Birds of a Feather Flock Together” or “When Pigs Fly.”
