The Anderson Museum of Art (AMOA) has announced a generous $5,000 donation from the Anderson Arts League to Phase One of AMOA’s Under One Roof campaign. Phase One is dedicated to preserving the cherished historic Carnegie Library building.

The remarkable contribution was formally presented during the Anderson Arts League’s final meeting of the year on May 22, which also included installing officers.

“We extend our deepest gratitude to the Anderson Arts League for their steadfast support,” AMOA Executive Director Mandee Spano said. “Their commitment to our cause further propels us toward our goal of preserving this iconic landmark for future generations.”

This significant donation, made possible by the generosity of the Sock Hop sponsors, notably Title Sponsor Community Hospital Anderson, brings AMOA closer to its first-phase target of $100,000. The success of the recent fundraising event, buoyed by the community’s active involvement and ticket purchases, has been instrumental in this achievement.

With just under $12,000 remaining to reach the Under One Roof Phase One goal, every contribution is instrumental as AMOA endeavors to safeguard and enhance the Downtown Anderson landmark. These funds will facilitate critical repairs, ensuring the longevity and splendor of this historic building.

Join the campaign and champion the arts through conservation, reinvention, and sustainability. Together, you can help secure a vibrant future for the arts in the Anderson community.
