American Structurepoint Chief Executive Officer Rick Conner is among the state’s most influential and impactful business and community leaders selected for the 2025 Indiana 250 list by IBJ Media.
The honorees represent a diverse range of organizations, including public and private companies, law firms, universities, nonprofit organizations, government agencies, and community groups. The list was compiled by the executives, editors, and newsroom staff at IBJ Media’s three news brands – Indianapolis Business Journal, Inside INdiana Business, and Indiana Lawyer – as part of a process that included reviewing nominations, researching Indiana organizations, and talking with community leaders across the state.
“I am humbled to be among the influential leaders featured in IBJ Media’s Indiana 250 list,” Conner said. “I share this honor with the American Structurepoint staff who consistently deliver excellence to improve the quality of life for the clients and communities we serve. Our exceptional staff and clients inspire me, and it is a privilege to serve them every day.”
Conner began his American Structurepoint career as “Employee Number 12,” working as a part-time blueprint delivery boy. He joined the company full-time in 1976, following his graduation from Purdue University. Conner became company president in 1990 and CEO in 2024. His visionary leadership has transformed American Structurepoint from an Indiana-based firm with fewer than 50 employees to an award-winning, national architecture and engineering firm. In 2025, American Structurepoint has approximately 750 employees offering 11 disciplines across 18 design centers across the nation.
