Marty Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives

Born and raised in Philadelphia, Miss., Marty Stuart got his start in bluegrass legend Lester Flatts’ band at the tender age of 13, and by 21, he was recording and touring with Johnny Cash. Across 40-plus years as a solo artist, he has released more than 20 major label albums, scoring platinum sales, hit singles, and a host of honors including five Grammy wins and membership in the Country Music Hall of Fame. Known for their honky-tonk and rockabilly edge, Stuart and His Fabulous Superlatives – guitarist Kenny Vaughan, drummer Harry Stinson, and bassist Chris Scruggs – are Musicians Hall of Fame inductees.
Opening the show will be singer-songwriter and storyteller Otis Gibbs, a central Indiana native now based in East Nashville, Tenn.
Celebrate the Songbook: Michael Feinstein with the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra

Michael Feinstein, “The Ambassador of the Great American Songbook,” and the Indianapolis Chamber Orchestra (ICO) dive into historic arrangements from the Great American Songbook Foundation’s Library & Archives for an unforgettable evening of timeless songs. ICO, now celebrating its 41st season, is the professional orchestra-in-residence at Butler University’s Schrott Center for the Arts and is led by Music Director and Conductor Matthew Kraemer. Feinstein, a Grammy- and Emmy-nominated performer and preservationist, is Founder of the Songbook Foundation and Artistic Director for Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts.

Your adventure is hosted by the Relevations staff, a team featuring decades of teaching and performance experience. From ballet, jazz, hip-hop, tap, and beyond – there is something for everyone to see, do and enjoy. Come join the fun – let’s dance.
Designed for children ages 1 to 7, Peanut Butter & Jam sessions encourage young children to become engaged in the arts. Plan to attend these informal Saturday concerts.
Live at the Center: Sadie Johnson

Singer, songwriter and musician Sadie Johnson began playing guitar at age 6 and touring at age 13 with her sister Samantha as the Sad Sam Blues Jam. She played guitar in the award-winning jazz ensembles at Bloomington High School North, graduating early to hit the road with the annual Ruf Records Blues Caravan in 2015. She remained active in music while studying at Marietta College and becoming a certified music therapist. In 2023, she released her debut solo album, Natural Distractions.
Luminaries: A Day to Remember: Doris Day

Mary Anne Barothy takes you on her sentimental journey from growing up in Indianapolis in the 1950s and 1960s to following her “Day dream” – working for and living with America’s sweetheart, Doris Day. Barothy served for four years as Day’s personal secretary in the 1970s while the actress was filming her hit TV show at CBS, then lived with the screen legend in her Beverly Hills home for two years.
New Works Premiere Performances

The Tarkington
Now in its fourth season, New Works: An Arts Commission Project is an initiative by Allied Solutions Center for the Performing Arts to promote and sustain central Indiana’s working artists and arts communities in an inclusive way by supporting the creation of new works across all performing arts disciplines. The three winning performing arts proposals selected by the judging panel will be presented on stage at the Tarkington, with a talkback discussion following the performances. The event will also include the public unveiling of this year’s winning visual arts proposal.
