The game Honkai Star Rail is a semi-open world game where you can play as different characters from across the galaxy in the Honkai Star Rail Universe. There are multiple places to visit currently in the game and players start off at the Herta Space Station. Then, after bringing peace to the space station, you go to Jarilo VI.
The place where the main character first visits in Jarilo VI is the city of Belebog and it has two major parts: the Overworld and the Underworld. Afterwards, you bring peace to Belebog and Jarilo VI with the help of Seele, Natasha, Bronya, Serval, March 7th, and Dan Heng. After you save the planet on your way to the next planet Penacony, you get sidetracked because the main villains are the Stellaron Hunters, and they want you to go to the Xianzhou Loufu. Then the entire main cast takes a vote to see if you go to the Loufu. The results say that you go to the Loufu to bring peace to the place. It turns out that the Stellaron Hunters lured you to the Loufu for one of them to take revenge on Dan Heng.

As you explore the Loufu, you are rejected multiple times by the people of the Loufu to help with the Stellaron crisis. You also end up having multiple encounters with Kafka, who enacts the will of Elio who sees the future and is the leader of the Stellaron Hunters. Later, Kafka is captured by the people of the Loufu and is put into the Matrix of Prescience to reveal why she is there.
The Loufu is being attacked by the Stelleron and it summons powers of Yaoshi, which takes the form of a deer. You then have to fight the deer but you end up not being able to defeat it because of its incredible healing ability. You proceed to then go to different nearby regions to “cut the roots” of the tree from where the deer came from. You then have to go back and defeat the deer. After a long and difficult battle against the deer, the leaders of the Loufu finally recognize your strength.
The Loufu then sends you on a journey to the alchemy commission because there are immortality fumes that make long life species become mara struck faster and sooner, which means to take the form of a mindless abomination. After you have stopped the fumes from spreading all over the alchemy commission, the real reason that The Stellaron Hunter’s persuaded you to go to the Loufu instead of Penacony is revealed. Phantylia the Undying is revealed by ending her possession of Tingyun.
At the same time, Dan Heng is making way to the Stelleron Hunters for Blade to fulfill his revenge. Once Dan Heng gets to the shore with the Stelleron Hunters, he realizes that there are only two of the Stelleron Hunters there, Blade and Kafka. Kafka then allows Blade to have “The Mara” take control of him and to start his “revenge” on Dan Heng. Then before everything happens Yanqing shows up and joins in the fight with Dan Heng.
The fight then begins and Dan Heng loses by revealing his true identity: Dan Heng Imbibator Lunae. Dan Heng Imbibator Lunae then sides with Blade to defeat Yanqing. Jing Yuan and Bailu show up just at the end of the battle between Dan Heng Imbibator Lunae and Blade against Yanqing. Dan Heng Imbibator Lunae, after some convincing by everyone who was there, decides to split the waters at Scalgourge Waterscape to defeat Phantylia. After a long, tedious battle against Phantylia, with the help of Jing Yuan you defeat Phantylia and manage to prevent any more of the creature’s that worship Phantylia from being in the Loufu again.
