Alaina Shonkwiler has won the Republican nomination for State Representative in Indiana’s 29th House District.

House District 29 is located entirely within Hamilton County and includes the city of Noblesville and a small portion of Fishers. Shonkwiler will appear on the General Election ballot in November to succeed Rep. Chuck Goodrich, where she will face Democrat Chris Hartig of Noblesville.

“I am overwhelmed by the outpouring of incredible support for our campaign, and am thrilled to be your Republican nominee for House District 29,” Shonkwiler said. “I’m running for State Representative to represent the community I have called home for nearly my entire life – the community where my husband and I are raising our children. Noblesville has taken tremendous strides in just the past few years, and it’s crucial for us to have practical, commonsense leaders who listen to our neighbors, and work alongside others to achieve real, meaningful results. We need a leader who will fight for fiscal responsibility and lower taxes; for strong public safety and support of law enforcement; for parental choice and transparency in education; and, for our basic freedoms and liberties. I intend to be that leader, and look forward to the remainder of the campaign and our shared success in November. I am honored to be your nominee, and thank you for the support.”

Alaina Shonkwiler lives in Noblesville along with her husband, Jason, a Sergeant with the Noblesville Police Department and current High School Resource Officer, and their two school aged children, Hannah and Kyle.
