AG Rokita calls on Hoosiers to get their payback from Big Pharma on inflated generic drug prices

Indiana Attorney General Todd Rokita is calling on Hoosiers to check their eligibility for compensation for certain generic drug purchases after the U.S. District Court for the District of Connecticut granted preliminary approval of a plan to distribute settlement funds from manufacturers accused of conspiring to inflate generic drug prices.

AG Rokita’s office and a coalition of 47 other states and territories previously announced settlements with Glenmark, Lannett, Bausch, Apotex, Heritage, and Heritage’s parent company, Emcure, totaling approximately $96.5 million. The distribution plan aims to return millions of those dollars to consumers potentially harmed by the elevated prices.

“Hoosiers deserve fair pricing for their medications, and we will not tolerate illegal schemes that drive up costs and harm consumers,” AG Rokita said. “We continue holding Big Pharma accountable when they harm Hoosiers by putting profits over people. I encourage anyone who purchased these generic drugs to see if they’re eligible for compensation.”
