ACAP Indy Metro North will host “The Medicare Maze: Your Free Guide Before The Clock Runs Out” from 5:30 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 8, at The Haverstick/Church at the Crossing Door 10, 9111 Haverstick Road, Indianapolis.
The in-person program is designed to help adult children and family caregivers understand Medicare coverage options before the Annual Open Enrollment period begins on Oct. 15.
Attendees will gain clarity on Medicare’s four parts and how they work together, learn to navigate Medicare.gov for coverage tracking and provider comparisons, and discover the State Health Insurance Program (SHIP), a free unbiased counseling resource many families have never heard of. The program will also address how Medicare and Medicaid paperwork intersect and provide guidance on preparing for Open Enrollment season with a concrete plan rather than facing an unexpected deadline. Unlike insurance seminars designed to sell a specific product, this program offers genuinely unbiased community education with no plan being sold.
The program will be presented by State SHIP Coordinator Bruce Mueller and Medicaid Advisors Founder Shawn Jones.
This program is free and open to everyone. Reserve a spot today at acapcommunity.org, or email ACAP Indy Metro North at indymetronorth@acapcommunity.org.
This program is sponsored by The Harrison Community and Marion County Public Health Department; The Brain Health Initiative.
