Last week’s storms brought catastrophic flooding to many parts of Indiana, including Fishers, creating dangerous conditions for residents and first responders. Communities came together, and first responders across the state took decisive action to help those in need.

In the middle of the chaos and destruction, Fishers firefighters encountered an equipment issue that, under normal circumstances, could have significantly delayed their ability to conduct water rescues and evacuations.

Fortunately, A and E Marine stepped up when they were most needed.

When one of Fishers’ rescue boats required a motor replacement, the A and E team moved quickly to get them back in service. Their responsiveness, expertise, and commitment to supporting public safety minimized downtime and allowed crews to quickly return to water rescue operations.

That quick turnaround made a difference. Once back on the water, firefighters were able to continue responding into flooded areas along the White River, reaching stranded residents, and assisting with additional evacuations, helping get people and their animals to safety when they needed it most.

This is what community partnership looks like. Local businesses supporting first responders ultimately help those first responders better serve the community.

Thank you to A and E technician, Ryan Seitz, for going above and beyond and helping Fishers firefighters stay ready to respond.
