The Carmel boys basketball team dropped a roller-coaster game at Cathedral on Wednesday, 64-59.
The Irish led 18-10 after the first quarter, but the ‘Hounds came back with a 21-point second period to lead 31-25 at halftime. Then, Cathedral roared back in the third quarter, outscoring Carmel 19-8 to take the lead back, 44-39. The Irish held that lead in the fourth period.
John Michael Mulloy scored 19 points for Carmel and also pulled nine rebounds. Karsten Windlan added 13 points, while Luke Heady made three 3-pointers for nine points. Andrew Owens pulled five rebounds.
The ‘Hounds are 7-4 for the season and host Avon on Friday.
