The Noblesville softball team started the week with two big wins.
First, the Millers hosted McCutcheon Monday, and beat the Mavericks 16-6 in five innings. Noblesville scored six runs in the second inning, then five in the third inning. The Millers put up five more runs in the fifth: Gabby Fowler tripled in Tatum Ball and Delaney Rundle, then Taylor Thompson blasted a three-run home run to end the game, also scoring Fowler and Mack Harvey.
In addition to her triple, Fowler hit two three-run homers, one in the second inning and another in the third. Fowler finished the game with eight RBIs in a 3-for-4 night. Thompson opened the second inning with a home run; she drove in four runs for the game.
Bella Schatko hit a two-run homer in the third inning, and Harvey hit a double. Ball scored three runs, while Rundle, Thompson, Addi Emmerson and Schatko all had two. Harvey, Thompson, Schatko and Erin Clark all had two hits. Lulu Van Beek got the pitching win.
Noblesville traveled to Zionsville on Tuesday for a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game, winning 9-4.
The Millers started with a run in the first inning, as Thompson singled in Fowler. Thompson then cracked a leadoff home run in the fourth inning, and Noblesville led 2-0. The Eagles got a run back in the bottom of the fourth to cut that lead to 2-1.
Noblesville blasted off for five runs in the fifth inning. Van Beek led off with a double, then Nevaeh Nash came in to run for her. Reis Sjoholm bunted Nash to third base, then Rundle singled her in.
Fowler came up next, and her three-run homer also brought in Sjoholm and Rundle. Harvey made it back-to-back home runs, sending one over the center field fence.
In the sixth inning, Rundle got on base with a right field hit, then Fowler cracked a homer to send everyone home. With that, Fowler tied the single-season home run record of 14, currently sharing it with Ella White.
Rundle, Fowler, Harvey and Thompson all had two hits. Van Beek went five innings for the pitching win.
The Millers finished HCC play 4-3 and are 13-10-1 overall. Noblesville plays at Lafayette Jefferson this evening to finish the regular season.

Hamilton Heights beat Frankfort 10-0 in a five-inning Wednesday away game.
The Huskies put up four runs in the first inning and five more in the fourth. Hailey Hall hit a double in the fifth inning to bring in Suzanna Sigler for the 10th run, and a three-up, three-down bottom of the fifth ended the game.
Hall was 3-for-3 at the plate, while Morgan Ottinger went 2-for-3 and batted in four runs. Lily Cash and Kassidy Schakel both scored two runs, while Lily Roush and Schakel each drove in two runs. Ottinger, Roush, Schakel and Taya Trosper all hit doubles in addition to Hall.
Cash pitched all five innings, striking out nine and allowing one hit and no walks.
Heights is 15-8 and finishes its regular season Friday by hosting Alexandria.

Hamilton Southeastern finished HCC play on a very positive note, beating Franklin Central 14-2 in a Tuesday away game.
The Royals’ Lani Wyrick scored a run in the first inning. The Flashes put up two in the second inning, but Alex Kiemeyer led off the third inning with a home run, then Tessa Sexauer’s homer put Southeastern in the lead for good.
Payton Fox hit two home runs, a solo in the third and a three-run blast in the fourth inning. Fox was 3-for-4 at the plate, driving in six runs total. Chase smacked a two-run home run in the fourth inning, and Wyrick blasted a solo homer in the sixth.
Makenna Selm, Wyrick and Steph Penny all hit a double. Wyrick scored three runs, drove in another two and had two hits. Grace Swedarsky pitched a complete game, striking out 17.
The Royals finished conference play 4-3 and are 17-7 overall. Southeastern plays at Ben Davis this evening.

Fishers beat Anderson 18-0 in a five-inning home game on Wednesday.
Sophie Schoch and Brooke Johnson both had two hits for the Tigers, with Schoch hitting a double. Taylor Duplessis and Liv McNall also hit a double. Johnson totaled four RBIs, with Hailey Kinder, Kendall Jordan and Ashtin Grubb all driving in two runs. Hailey Trueblood and Johnson both scored two runs. Kamara Walker pitched four and two-thirds innings for the win, striking out four.
Fishers is 14-7 and hosts Zionsville tonight to finish HCC play

Carmel split two games at Cherry Tree Softball Complex to start the week.
First, the Greyhounds lost a close game to Harrison, last year’s Class 4A state runner-up, 9-6. The Raiders scored three runs in both the first and second innings, then added another run in the third for a 7-0 lead.
Carmel battled, scoring at least one run from the third through seventh innings. The ‘Hounds began with a run in the third, when Ella Weir stole home plate. In the fourth inning, Jayden Kleiner led off with a center field home run.
Alex Longstreth hit a triple in the fifth inning, then scored when Lily Sullivan sent a base hit into left field. Carmel was within 7-3, but Harrison scored two runs in the top of the sixth to go up 9-3.
The Greyhounds’ Mia Fleming smacked a two-run double in the sixth inning, bringing in Bella Davis and Katherine Warren. Longstreth led off the seventh with a double, then got home on Hope McDonald’s sacrifice fly.
Longstreth and Kleiner both had two hits, and McDonald hit a double.
Carmel rebounded on Tuesday, picking up an 8-3 win over Shelbyville. The Golden Bears scored a run in the first inning. The Greyhounds tied the game in the second inning when Mia Fleming doubled in Bella Davis.
Carmel then erupted for five runs in the fourth inning to take a 6-1 lead. Katy Smith led off with a double, moved to third base on a Davis single, then scored on Fleming’s RBI fielder’s choice. Longstreth doubled in Davis and Warren (running for Fleming), Weir went home on Sullivan’s sacrifice fly, then McDonald batted in Longstreth with a left field hit.
Carmel added two more runs in the sixth inning. Sullivan blasted a triple into right field to score Longstreth, then got home on McDonald’s RBI groundout.
Longstreth, McDonald and Davis all had two hits. Fleming and McDonald both hit one double. Lucy Broughton pitched a complete game for the win.
The Greyhounds are 6-14 and play this afternoon at Greenfield-Central in their regular-season finale.

Westfield split a pair of games to begin the week.
First, the Shamrocks traveled to Western on Monday and came home with an 8-3 victory. Westfield started strong with four runs in the first inning: Allie Dolenc’s left field hit drove in Maggie Roh, Cara Snedeker’s left field hit scored Makayla Watson, Chloe Tanner batted in Dolenc with a left field single, and Sofia Easterhaus got home on Grace Fanelli’s sacrifice fly.
Fanelli batted in another run in the third inning, sending Easterhaus home with a left field hit. Avery Banas made a big hit for the ‘Rocks in the fourth inning with a solo home run. Ava Kainrath hit a homer in the seventh inning, bringing in Easterhaus for her third run of the game.
Kainrath and Banas both had two hits. Tanner went four and a third innings for the win, striking out six and allowing just two hits.
On Tuesday, Westfield fell to Avon 9-2 in a Hoosier Crossroads Conference game. The Shamrocks scored both of their runs in the seventh inning: Fanelli’s sacrifice fly brought in Snedeker, then Grace Feltz hit a sacrifice fly to score Annika Lawrence.
Tanner and Kenzie Hiatt both hit a double. Tanner went six and a third innings, striking out five.
Westfield finished HCC play 4-3 and is 13-13 overall. The ‘Rocks host McCutcheon this evening in their regular-season finale.

Sheridan went 1-2 this week at the Hoosier Heartland Conference tournament.
The Blackhawks won their first game on Monday, beating Taylor 5-2 at Abby & Libby Park in Delphi. Both teams scored a run in the second inning; Emma Settles tripled in Claudia Headlee to get Sheridan on the board.
The Titans scored a run in the fifth inning, but the ‘Hawks answered with four runs in the sixth. Settles blasted a triple, then scored on a base hit by Kennedy Zachary. Mariana Lopez doubled in Jacquellynne Bates and Chaney Smith, then Ashlynn Tryon singled in Abbi Merritt.
Bates was 3-for-5 at the plate. Merritt and Lopez both had two hits, with Lopez also hitting a triple. Maelei Casler pitched a complete game for the win, striking out seven.
The ‘Hawks played again right away on Monday, falling to Rossville 12-1 in five innings. Settles scored in the fifth inning when Bates reached on error.
On Tuesday, Sheridan fell to Carroll 16-1 in five innings. The Blackhawks scored in the fourth inning when Lopez led off with a home run.
Sheridan is 3-23 for the season.

Guerin Catholic dropped two tough games to begin the week.
On Monday, the Golden Eagles fell to North Central 19-1 in five innings. Guerin Catholic scored its run in the fourth inning when Kate Brady got home on Anna Mauch’s RBI groundout.
The Golden Eagles hosted Circle City Conference opponent Roncalli on Tuesday, and the Royals won 13-1 in five innings. Guerin Catholic scored its run in the second inning, with Maddie Winstead getting home after Madi Cain reached on error.
The Golden Eagles are 2-12 and play this afternoon at Lawrence North.
