The IHSAA girls tennis sectionals begin this afternoon, with Hamilton County teams playing at two different sites.
Defending state champion Carmel will host action at the Todd Witsken Tennis Center beginning at 5:15 p.m. The No. 2-ranked Greyhounds play No. 24 Guerin Catholic in one semifinal, while No. 9 Westfield hosts University in the other semifinal.
Noblesville hosts the other sectional, with play beginning at 4:30 p.m. The No. 5 Millers will play No. 4-ranked and last year’s state runner-up Fishers. In the other semifinal, No. 15 Hamilton Southeastern will take on Hamilton Heights.
Today’s winners will advance to the sectional championship, which will be played on Thursday at both sites.
