Dr. Jerry Wayne Eckart, 82, Noblesville, passed away on March 14, 2023, with his family at his side.
He was born on May 14, 1940, in Central, Ind., to Kelso Wayne and Elizabeth (Mann) Eckart. He graduated from Central High School with the Class of 1958. He then furthered his education at Olivet Nazarene University. Lastly, he enrolled in the Indiana University School of Dentistry in Indianapolis where he earned his DDS degree. He worked for a brief time in private practice but found his niche in making dentures. He then worked for many years at The Denture Place with businesses in Kokomo, Marion, and Lafayette.
He married Robin Sue (Starrett) Eckart on July 26, 1986. She preceded him in death on July 16, 2021. They were members of the Arcadia Church of the Brethren. They also enjoyed going to Disney World with the grandchildren, family gatherings, and attending Hamilton Heights sporting events, especially football games.
Leisure time would find Dr. Eckart reading and working crossword puzzles.
In addition to his wife, he was also preceded in death by his parents.
Surviving him are two daughters, Hillary (Anthony) Kilfoil of Noblesville and Melissa (Bill) Moore of Indianapolis; sons, Ross (Katherine) Eckart of Indianapolis and Thomas Eckart of Indianapolis; and grandchildren, Cooper, Lydia, Quinn, and River Kilfoil, and Gigi Eckart.
Memorial services will be at 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 29, 2023, at Arcadia Church of the Brethren, 8989 E. 266th St., Arcadia. A time of visitation will be from noon until time of the service. Burial will take place at Arcadia Cemetery.
