Passengers of all ages enjoyed a history lesson on the Nickel Plate Express (NPX) last Saturday. The historical train boarded passengers at Hobbs Station at Forest Park in Noblesville for a ride to Atlanta where they exited to enjoy refreshments and walk about the town. During the ride, they learned about the history of the Nickel Plate line, development of the Northern Hamilton County towns, and the significance the train line played in the growth of Northern Hamilton County. The ride was funded through a grant from Hamilton County Bicentennial allowing NPX to offer discounted tickets for the day.
