Noblesville West Middle School wrestlers win Hamilton County Middle School Tournament for first time ever

The Noblesville West Middle School wrestling team made history last Saturday by winning the Hamilton County Middle School Tournament for the first time ever.
The tournament took place at Westfield Middle School. The West Millers ran away with the team standings, scoring 391 points, over 100 points more than runner-up Fishers. The Tigers totaled 285 points, giving them second place by a large margin as well.
Noblesville West had wrestlers make the championship match in 15 of the 22 weight classes, with nine of them winning. Henry Antrobus was the first NWMS champion with a victory at 70 pounds, getting a pin 26 seconds into the final. Antrobus is unbeaten for the season at 23-0.
The West Millers ran off three wins in a row minutes later, with Zach Nekolite claiming the 90-pound title to keep him unbeaten at 24-0. Blake Weimer won at 95 pounds by fall, then Brody Weimer took the 100-pound championship.
Isaac Suddarth was first at 113 pounds. Andrew Aviles won at 132 pounds by fall, as did the West Millers’ Aidan Kincaide at 152 pounds; Kincaide is unbeaten at 26-0. Dom Swigart toughed out a decision win at 170, and Cole Hanson won at 245 by pin.
Fishers had four individual champions. Frank Fessenden was the first one, getting a pin for a victory at 106 pounds. Goyo Mireles was the 120-pound winner, Mason Cantwell won by fall for the 182-pound title and Angadbir Chauhan got an 8-7 decision to take the 220-pound championship.
Westfield placed third as a team, scoring 186.5 points. Connor Maddox earned a championship for the Shamrocks, winning at 80 pounds. Maddox is unbeaten for the season at 20-0.
Hamilton Heights and Noblesville East tied for fourth place, with each team scoring 185 points. The Huskies had three champions, starting with 75-pounder Dorian Minix. Finn Bowman won by fall for the 85-pound title, then Makx Torres finished the meet by claiming the 285-pound championship with a pin.
The East Millers had two winners. Luke Hargis won the 160-pound title by fall, then Cael Metzler was the 195-pound champion; he is 25-0 for the season.
Hamilton Southeastern placed sixth as a team with 164 points. The Royals had two champions, starting with Max Inman, the winner at 126 pounds. Inman is 19-0 for the year. Aiden Blackmore was the 138-pound champion.
Clay had one individual champion: Jaxen Timmons was the 145-pound winner; he is 16-0 for the season.
