Noblesville got a nice road win for its Hoosier Crossroads Conference finale on Friday, beating Avon 66-58.
The first quarter was a defensive one, as the Millers led 6-4 when the period finished. Both teams got their offenses going in the second quarter, and the game was tied 24-24 at halftime. Hunter Walston poured in 10 points for Noblesville in that period.
The Millers got some separation in the third quarter, which ended with a 43-38 Noblesville lead. Aaron Fine scored seven points and Luke Almodovar added six. The Millers then added 23 points in the fourth quarter, with Fine scoring eight points.
Fine finished the game with 23 points to lead Noblesville. Almodovar added 15 points and Walston scored 12.
The Millers completed their conference schedule with a 5-2 record, tying for second place with Fishers. Noblesville is 15-6 overall and hosts Evansville Christian this afternoon.
