Indiana American Water has named Matthew Hobbs as Director of Engineering effective Feb. 20, 2023. Hobbs is replacing Stacy Hoffman who is retiring after 29 years of service with American Water.
Hobbs most recently served as engineering and program manager and client service leader in the Water Services Group for HNTB Corporation. Prior to that, he was a water and wastewater project engineer with the Indiana Department of Natural Resources.
“We are pleased to have Matt on board with the company in this key leadership position,” Indiana American Water President Matt Prine said. “He brings more than 18 years of experience to this position and will play a key role in implementing our capital investment strategies and initiatives moving forward.”
Hobbs has a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Purdue University, is registered as a professional engineer, and is a certified LEED Accredited Professional.
